COSRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid

Hello!
This is gonna be a review about my first COSRX product which is the AHA (Glycolic acid 7%) power liquid. If you're new to skin care and want to try chemical exfoliator, this is the one. But I want to give you a lil bit information about AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) and the other power liquid for blackheads, BHA (beta hydroxy acid), AHA exfoliate on the surface of skin. A main point of difference is that they don’t penetrate as deep as BHA and the effects are felt on the surface of the skin.
My skin problems are:
1. Whiteheads (small bumps on my forehead)
2. Blackheads (on my nose)
So I thought this exfoliating toner would work on me.

The COSRX website tells us how to use this liquid:
After cleansing, soak a cotton pad and swipe a thin layer of the liquid over the skin, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Pat in gently for absorption. If the skin feels irritated, wash away after 4-5 minutes lightly with lukewarm water. After the AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is completely absorbed by the skin, follow up with other essence and moisturizer. The next morning, we recommend you to use sunscreen in order to protect your skin.
TIP
1. AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid is a high-concentrate AHA product, therefore it is best to use a small, yet sufficient amount on the areas containing whiteheads and dead skin cells for the skin to adapt to the liquid. Begin with using the product once a week, and after the skin has adapted to it, increase the usage up to 2 to 3 times a week to maintain clear skin that is free of dead skin cells, and sebum.
2. On the days you use AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid, do not use other exfoliating products such as products containing AHA, BHA, retinol, or vitamin C.
3. After using the AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid, use a serum or mask product for moisture retention and antioxidant function for a heightened moisture retention effect.

Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide, Sodium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol

The first time I got this, I was using it three times a week. I've used it for a month and it didn't do anything, my skin wasn't irritated and those small bumps on my forehead wouldn't disappear. I gave up, I thought it wasn't enough and added the physical exfoliator like scrub and brush to my skin care routine and turned out it irritated my skin, I was over exfoliate. I stopped for a while to cure my skin with aloe vera gel.
I tried again, but I didn't apply it with cotton pad, I patted it on my forehead, nose, and my chin and waited for 30mins before using another products. In four or five days those small bumps disappeared.
That.
Was.
Magic.
But until now, my blackheads won't go:( I think I need the blackheads treatment because BHA penetrate deeper than AHA, as I mentioned before. The art of skin care: Trial and Error hehe.

DeleteI struggle with 'bruntusan' in both my cheeks where i usually contour (probably bcs of the dirty brush? no idea) do u think it'd work on dry flaky skin? Merci
ReplyDeletecuci brushnya setiap abis 3-4x pemakaiannn. bisa buat dry skin kokk tp abis itu jangan lupa pake lapisan yg hyrating kayak hydrating toner, hyaluronic acid serum, snail cream, dll yg claimnya melembabkan:) goodluck!
